World of Warcraft (WoW) is Blizzard's MMORPG.

World of Warcraft, commonly abbreviated "WoW", is a massive multiplayer online roleplaying game. This genre of game gives you a character to start with, commonly having certain defining characteristics chosen by the player. This type of game is open, you get to decide what you want to do with your character. Also, WoW is online, meaning you can interact with many players in the different realms that WoW offers.
WoW was created with a plot that expands on previous Warcraft Games, those being of different genre. The basic storyline is a conflict between alliances, which causes war throughout.
The two major sides (Faction a player may join) of this war are:

The Alliance
The races of the Alliance are:

  • The Humans
  • The Dwarves
  • The Gnomes
  • The Night Elves
  • The Dreanei (The burning crusade)


The underlying classes of these races are:

  • Priests
  • Paladins
  • Rogues
  • Hunters
  • Warlocks
  • Warriors
  • Mages
  • Druids
  • Shaman (The burning crusade)


The Horde
The races of the Horde are:

  • The Orcs
  • The Undead
  • The Trolls
  • The Tauren
  • The Blood Elves (The burning crusade)


The underlying classes of these races are:

  • Hunters
  • Warlocks
  • Warriors
  • Mages
  • Druids
