Well, until it actually becomes a problem we will worry about it. For now I think its alright to ignore it. How many people are going to need to upload Vectors anyways? If you could make a username for me on FTP so that I could upload these avatars outside of the wiki system (to http://wiki.kupatrix.org/images/ ) it would be cool .. take a look at http://wiki.kupatrix.org/Category:StarCraft_avatars - there's some kind of problem with the uploading of GIFs that are animated, it distorts them... had complaint from one guy who wanted to use the Dark Templar avatar but it looks crap compared to how the original is -_-

Either that or fix the uploading problem, but I have no idea why that is..If you notice it does the same thing to Kerrigan's animation when it's resized at http://wiki.kupatrix.org/Category:StarCraft but when you click on the image to view the full one it's not distorted at all.. however these avatars aren't resized at all yet still distorted o_O --Sarah K 06:00, 22 April 2006 (CDT)

Not sure why, but resizing gifs are kind of hard to accomplish on the fly like the wiki does, you might try re-uploading that dark templar, or you could upload it to www.kupatrix.org and then refer to it here on the wiki (i've enabled off site images, although the wiki doesn't exactly offer a lot of out-of-box control for them -- got to use span tags and such to position them correctly). Animated Gifs are, obviously, more complicated in terms of resizing and what not. Although I don't think the wiki should be distoring anything =/ --Neo 12:37, 22 April 2006 (CDT)

yeah, I think you have an old version of MediaWiki... I notice a lot of more complicated code when copy pasted from Wikipedia doesn't work here. When did you download it? maybe you should update I dunno

It's weird, because the StarCraft avatars don't actually get resized since they're already small, yet they still get distorted.. something's wrong o-o

Its the latest version of MediaWiki actually. You have to realize that alot of Wikipedia has been custom coded and such specifically for them. I would also appreciate it if you would limit the amount of stuff you copy from Wikipedia. If you want to link to it thats fine, but I think snatching up whole entries is kind of lame >_> -- Also as for avatars and such, I don't know why the gifs are messed up. You could just try to upload a new version of the image or something =/ FTP Access wouldn't help to much either, since the file maybe stored in images/ but the file info and stuff is actually stored in the database. --Neo 13:42, 22 April 2006 (CDT)

I am trying to upload some of my avatars, and I get this, "The file is corrupt or has an incorrect extension. Please check the file and upload again." No matter what type of picture or what size, gif, jpg, png, none will upload. I can open them on my computer and they work fine, but I can't upload them. I'm having trouble finding things on d2players.org, and I understand that this is because it's only starting up. Is the deletion of pages possible? Because if it is, we (read: you) could probably delete the page User:Grog, as i created it by mistake.
