BrotherGreen
First appeared on Starcraft.org back before the reformat of the site, as an amateur mapmaker and a Diplomacy deviant. To this day he continues to be involved in mapping, and Diplomacy, as well as melee playing.
BrotherGreen became popular very fast by making maps, which, at the time, he thought were very good being completely Asymmetrical and balanced differently than what is considered normal. Regardless, popularity soaring with 2-5 maps on the most popular list at all times, he made fast friends. McNewgin, IxionsRevenge, among others were of like kind with their own genre's.
Flame Wars
Brothergreen was not all that active in the Flame Wars at the beginning. Not like SciFiFreak90 or Abomb. Not until near the end, when Geckat was removed as a moderator thanks to a harmless IRC comment, and another flamer came along. In their minds, they saw the admin and moderators as futile when it came to dealing with flamers, and if the Staff would not take care of it, well then - the members would.
This lead to pixels and Hammocksleeper being instituted as moderators (Pixel's first post being derogatory to SC.org members). By this time the 'vets' were established, the most well known members of SC.org. Protogod, DFIK, and others had made bsc.org by now and encouraged all pissed off vets to join to boycott SC.org. BG joined, by stuck with SC.org while slowly vets left one by one. BrotherGreen left SC.org after seeing that pixels and hammocksleeper were totally and completely unable in their positions, and didn't take it seriously. The members of SC.org felt that these two strangers didn't deserve a chance. Why did they? They came from nowhere just because they could mod on WB.org (You must keep in mind that SC.org members did not like WB'ers at this time - meeting many disapproving comments even when we did attempt to go over there). Thats when he left. He went to bsc.org first, then from there he moved to Shakuras - Home of the Renegades'
SC.org will never be what it was before they all left. He wishes it could have worked out differently.
Shakuras
Ironic name yes? The exiled? They had a better time and forum over there than ever experienced elsewhere, it was a community not only as a forum, but on B-Net too. Always friends on willing to play a fun game. Eventually shakuras got competitive, creating their own team even - taking on the likes of (ConFed) and SCC-. BrotherGreen's top rank on the team of around 15, was 4th.
Unfortunately BrotherGreen became very busy, and lacked the time to keep up the neccessary practice. Also there was striation between some members, arguments and fights went on (The Drama Llama made several appearances), and BrotherGreen somewhat dropped out of the community.
He rejoined his old clan, Silent_, which is a diplomacy clan and laid low for awhile. BrotherGreen started practicing again after he got time, and became very skilled at diplomacy, again. He now ranks as one of the top players on east.
Sc.Org Needs Moderators!?
Well, thats what the newspost said. He couldn't believe it. By this time some of the vets had glided back to SC.org here and there, never how it used to be though. He put his name up for consideration, and first got onto the critique board, where they attempted to reduce the number of maps by filtering through them and deleting the crappy ones. Later BrotherGreen became an SC.org content moderator, and continues to serve in that position today.
