Wow I haven't updated this place in a long while....Well--I graduated obviously! And I've been to sooo many places!
Currently I am in North Carolina visiting my bf but I am leaving tonight. Things are going very well for me. I just got my first house with my three other roomates and we all are excited about rooming with each other! :D
It's a two story home with a hot tub, four bedrooms, located right off the lake, fire place, fully furnished, and everything! Oh and it's a straight shot to the airport from this house :]
As for my bf--Well--He's mov'n to Colorado!! :D He'll be moving here next month most likely. We are trying to figure out when we both can sit down with my parents and his and tell them our plans. He is gonna ask my Father AND Step-Father for my hand in marriage, lolz--And then I'll venture on over to his parents and we'll go see them.
They are actually upset that he is moving out here to be with me. His mom got pissed when Stephen told her that he began to apply for jobs out in Denver. His dad wasn't happy either. They both were like, "You're making a mistake!! You don't even know her! What if she dumps you??"
He straight out told them that it is his decision, not theirs and if they have a problem with it, oh well. He's a grown man and he hasn't lived under their roof for a long time.
They aren't happy about it, but oh well. It's cuz they don't know me and haven't met me yet. I had my first telephone conversation with Stephen's mom a couple weeks ago--She's soo cute! I love her cute little Southern accent :P
Anywayz.....My job is going GREAT! I've been to a lot of places so far. My most recent trip was from Denver to San Francisco, San Fran to Orlando [Layover there :D], Orlando to Dulles [Washington D.C.] and then D.C. back to Denver. I have to work for six days starting tomorrow and who knows where I'll go. I'm number three on the list for a 4-6 day trip--Dang imagine that....Me gone for six days, lolz. Wow.
Well I best get going--I have a flight to catch from Myrtle Beach, SC to Washington D.C. and then from there to Denver! Peace out peeps!
Oh and Proto--You are invited to the wedding :D

There has been soo much that I want to tell you all. I've been soo gosh darn busy I haven't had time to really update you. Man I wish I could just pour my heart out to you all...A wonderful occasion has arose with my bf and I. He came to visit me last weekend and it was wonderful :D
It was a nice vacation AWAY from the training center. Seriously, sometimes I feel as if I'm in some nunnery or whatever, lolz. I have one place to eat, one place to sleep, one building to go to in classes...Omgosh it's a bit nerve wracking at times >.<
I had my first training flight on Saturday, I got to go to Washington D.C. and back. I also got my uniform this week. My ankle is much better now, I am no longer limping all stupid, lolz. My corporate e-mail works now :D I am catching up on my on-line courses and I got moved into a new room with two new room mates which hasn't been as fun as I thought it would be. They are sweet women don't get me wrong, they both just live differently than I do.
Like, they don't really watch tv and don't stay up late like I do. Honestly I feel as if I've intruded on their niche :[ I got moved because their room mate left for home because of family problems. Which reminds me...In a period of three weeks my class has lost....*Counts in head* six ppl. Which is like an average of three ppl per week :[
It gets hard sometimes ya know? All this information can be overwhelming. You are only allowed one warning if you break any rules. After that one warning they can kick you out of the program and send you home. I am concerned about our emergency procedures class next week. I know it'll be fun, but the slide part scares me. We are required to slide down that slide OFF THE AIRPLANE which is like anywhere from 65+ feet high!! >.<
I have an exam on the Saftey Demonstration that Flight Attendants do on Saturday. You know the whole "To buckle your seat belt, etc etc--For oxygen, blah blah blah--The saftey card is located in the seat pocket in front of you, etc etc." thing :P I have to read the announcement to the ppl as well as perform it flawlessly without messing up my hairdo and stuff >.<
Anywayz, about my bf and I--I wanted you all to know that we've gotten pretty serious and he plans on proposing early next year :D Right now I am just getting started in my career and he plans on buying a house in January so that way we'll have a house and not an apartment to live in. There is just A LOT going on. Besides, we want to continue to get to know each other more than we already know now :] I am having a hard time telling my parents because all four (Dad, Mom, Step-Dad, Step-Mom) are like "HE'S TOO OLD FOR YOU!" >.< All I know, is what the Lord told me, and I'm stick'n to it :D
We will make a great couple and I believe that it may seem odd at first, but when you look past the age difference, it makes sense :] I just want to share my happiness with my parents but I am getting this caution warning right now. To just not say anything to them for a while. That's kind of hard ya know? When you have such fantastic news and you want to share it with your close loved ones but cannot because they won't understand...
We aren't centuries apart or anything, lolz. He just turned 35 and I'll be 22 in November. It's only 13 years apart. I've seen many successful couples that are like 15+ years apart.
Today while I was in class, I got this wonderful idea to break the news to my mom better. I decided to write letters for every pivotal moment in my relationship with Stephen. How things progressed. Our first kiss. When we first held hands. When we both realized that we want to spend the rest of our lives together, etc etc. I believe that these letters will make my mom more comfortable. I just don't want to hear any "He's an old man!!" jokes because He's NOT old :P
Anywayz, I am sad because most of our instructor's are leaving because they are Flight Attendants on Special Assignment. They have been here for six months teaching and are now going back out on the line for flying once again :P We are getting new instructor's next week. Man I hope they are cool like the ones we have now :P I really made a connection with two of the instructor's. Anne and Debbie--They rock :D
Well, I best get to bed, it's VERY late and I have class early. Love you guys!

Tornado in Chicago Today! [Quite a Situation]
Man have I had an eventful day/evening!
My gosh....To put it all in a nutshell--We had a SERIOUS tornado warning today. And as we were evacuating to the basement, I twisted my ankle on the stairs and almost fell FLAT on my face!! >.< So now I have it wrapped up in one of those bandages and I rubbed some bengay stuff on it.
For those of you from Chicago (Proto!! :[) Please let me know somehow that ya'llz are okay.
It was wierd....This is my second tornado. I'm not use to this kinda thing! :P I come from Cali, we have sun--And earthquakes! lolz :P Earthquakes I can handle--But tornado's? Dang, it's a whole 'nother ball game.
I was in one of my computer classes and I was noticing the weather outside. I was sitting next to a window and I saw the trees were blowing CRAZY. Not only that it was raining all heavy and stuff. I'm talk'n pouring rain, thunder, lightening, etc. Suddenly we heard this siren kinda sound which sounded like a vibration at first.
We sat in class for like, 8 MINUTES before our instructor realized what it was. We kept telling her it was a tornado warning and we better get downstairs. She was like, "Don't worry about it! We'll be okay!"
But we all looked outside and it seriously was getting worse and worse. And I'm talking we were seeing objects like tree branches go flying. I started getting really uneasy.
Suddenly the power cut out and it would come off and on off and on. Then after that objects were flying at the windows making loud banging sounds and suddenly the alarm goes off in the training center telling everyone to get to the basement.
At this point the teachers and instructors yelled at everyone within range: "LEAVE EVERYTHING! GET DOWNSTAIRS INTO THE BASEMENT!"
So we got the siren going off, we got the alarm inside going off, and ppl are like freak'n out and stuff, I straight out said, "In Jesus Name!" lolz :P I was able to grab my briefcase bag because it had my passport, birth certificate, and social security card in it--You think I'm gonna leave that?? Yeah right! lolz :P
I left everything else but grabbed my cell phone and my briefcase. My instructor's were kinda freak'n out I noticed. They all aren't from around here so they were like, "Comon! Leave it! Let's go! Get downstairs!!"
And as we all pretty much hurried up and ran outta the room, I heard the wind getting louder and these loud banging noises. I walked as best and quickly as I could down the stairs to the basement. But as I was walking I tripped and fell but caught myself. My ankle ended up getting twisted somehow...I thought I would be fine but it's swollen and now I'm mad, lolz.
I separated myself from my classmates when we were in the basement, I had to go off and pray. I was so shaken up...I had never been in a tornado like this before, where we were like...SOOO CLOSE to it! I will be honest I was very scared. As I got to the basement I kept hearing loud banging noises. I was texting everyone I knew as I walked into the bottom room. As I was looking at my phone sending out the quick text message: "Tornado! Pray!" I had it in one hand and I was just trembling all over. I couldn't hold my phone straight. I got mad because I don't want to be some scaredy cat. I went into one of the mock airplanes they have downstairs for training and sat in one of the economy row seats.
I sat there and began to breathe deeply and pray. And of course it didn't help that the Flight Attendants in the class before me were practicing their saftey procedures in the airplane in the jump seats in front of me. Saying things like, "The Captain has just informed us that we are preparing for a crash landing! Everyone BRACE! BRACE!! BRACE YOURSELVES!"
And then they were doing the evacuation procedures and that was getting on my nerves. They kept yelling, "Release your seatbelts and get up!! Leave everything!"
I wanted to go and slap them, lolz.
Anywayz, after about 20 minutes we were allowed to get to our rooms again. Honestly, that tornado's path just HAD to have changed. Just how everything went.... As I walked outside to the cafe to go get dinner, I saw the damage. I saw that the trees were all bent backwards. There were branches and limbs of trees lying on the floor. Signs had been either bent backwards or damaged.
I looked outside and traffic was terrible. Not only that, the storm was still there. There was thunder and lightening going off everywhere. It started to pour right when I was coming back from the cafe and lightening was going off and seriously it was like a movie with background music and everything, lolz.
Here I am with my food in one hand and my cell phone in the other trying to call my bf and let him know I'm okay. At first it wouldn't go through! >.< But after a few more tries I got it. It begins to literally POUR and I have nothing to cover myself in. The phone rings and rings and I am just looking into the sky like, "Father--I love the rain but PLEASE! No more tornado's!!" My response is more thunder and lightening, lolz. Because I didn't wanna hurt my foot anymore I couldn't run outta the storm, I had to walk through it. I was getting drenched so bad, the rain was going right through my clothes. As the rain falls my hair-do literally goes flat. My bangs are falling into my face with all the pouring rain and I was just dripping. I FINALLY got to the hotel door and to my amazement, it was LOCKED! >.<
I couldn't get into the training center! I kept sliding my card but it wasn't working. I had to bang on the door to get someone to come and open it for me.
I finally got inside but was soaking.
Then when I got to my room the pain in my ankle was getting worse. As I write to you I have it elevated on one of the computer chairs, lolz.
Anywayz....This has been quite an eventful evening. And now, I must return to my e-learning since I am a bit behind :P (They couldn't get my log in working for the training assignments so now I am a week and a half behind and am trying to catch up >.<)
As for everything else....Well, more has happened but I must write about that later. My instructor's have told me that for not being able to do the e-learning assignments, I am doing very well and they are proud of me. Today has been a flood of info though....
Anywayz, thank you all for your prayers!
Love you guys! Be blessed! :D

lolz--Good one Proto :P
Well today we all took a trip to the hangar. It was really awesome getting to inspect the planes and whatnot. They got us some catered lunches and soda and I had went to the bathroom to fix my hair afterwards but when I came back everyone was gone. I guess they all headed back out to the planes.
Inside the break room though were all the mechanics. They all were quite nice :] But they started giving me a hardtime since I was the last one, lolz. They all were like, "Man Grace what's wrong with you? Everyone is waiting for you outside!" :P
Anywayz, I got to do my pre-flight saftey checks, go inside the cockpit, check the emergency exits, see where all the life vests are located....
For those of you who sa that Flight Attendants are airheads--Ya'llz got the WRONG picture! You have NO IDEA what we have to go through in the training, SERIOUSLY. I have a new respect for ALL Flight Attendants now that I see what it is they have to go through. They gotta be smart and on their toes.
So yeah...lolz. Well, I'm a little sleepy. That's all that happened really--I got to sleep in until 1100 today which was REALLY nice, then I ran to the Bistro to get myself some lunch then I got ready and hopped on the bus which took us to the hangar and we got to go on different planes. We spent four hours on the first plane...Dang that was long. Then we went over to the Airbus 320-200 and then the B757-300.
Well everyone, I am sleepy. I really need to go and relax in my room and finish my homework. There's this Korean Full Gospel Church right down the street from the training center here, lolz. I think I'll pay them a visit tomorrow morning. I hope they speak english...o_0
Love you guys! :D

Today was our narrowbody airplane class. From 7:30 in the morning until THREE in the AFTERNOON! >.< Then after that was our Customer's with Special Needs class. After that we had to put a wheel chair together and give the saftey equipment demo to our partners.
Tomorrow we get to dress casual--FINALLY! Since we are taking a trip to the hangar tomorrow--w00t! We don't have class until 1300 thank God!
I've been sooo gosh darn BORED lately! I've been trying to find ppl to kick it with....But everyone is busy with hmwk, or something. Since I still cannot log into the skynet program for United, (I guess someone messed up my paper work--AGAIN!) I can't do my elearning classes--And because of that, I have a lot more time to do stuff than my classmates do. So I kinda just get to chill and hang out while everyone does stuff, lolz.
I got a pack of United playing cards on Day 1...I think I'll just take those and go kick it somewhere.....Man. It's so wierd being here. My body isn't use to all this food, all this stress and fatigue. I wanna sleep--But I can't.
God has been getting me through the day :D I'm not worried that I won't graduate--Because I know I will :D I just don't want to see any of my classmates go home. I wanna see us all graduate together. One girl went home today. Everyone kinda freaked out. She was the first one to leave--And she left on day five....And you know why she went home? Because she said she couldn't handle the commuting from Tampa, FL to Denver, CO. Can ya blame her?
Anywayz....I am here in one of the many computer labs all by myself. Since it's a Friday night, everyone is going out. I hate being stuck here. I wanted to go to the store today with some of my friends but when I got to the lobby no one was there :[ Either they forgot or left without me :[
It's so strange being away from the ppl that I am familiar with--But hey--It's change. And change is good. But seriously, my lifestyle is being challenged in a way it's NEVER been challenged before. I'm having to change almost everything about myself.
They have a saying here, "On time is late." You get to class right at 0700 and it STARTS at 0700--You're late. I am use to that kinda stuff. Now I find myself coming in 10-15 minutes before hand.
I am required to put my hair up in a bun because they tell me that it's too long. I HAVE to wear make-up and whatever. It's so wierd putting it on everyday.....I actually was against regulation today--I didn't have on eye shadow *GASP*! lolz :P
Anywayz, I miss ya'llz lots and I hope to get on again without restrictions :] Love you guys!
<3 Gracie aka "PC" :]
P.S. Oh forgot to add! Geno aka Larry and I are gonna be getting together most likely next week. I'm so excited! We are gonna have tons of fun and stuff, lolz :P
August 16th, 2007
So here I am at Flight Attendant Training in Chicago, IL. Wow. I am finally doing it. I am not allowed to visit any types of forums on the United computer labs because forums and message boards are locked :[
But thank God the wiki isn't blocked! w00t! :D
I don't know how I'll get the word out that I am writing here, but maybe someone will notice :D Like TD--I know! I'll send her a message on MySpace! She always checks her MySpace :D
Man you guys, so much has happened....SO SOO MUCH!
If you check my profile, I've pretty much updated it. Not all the way, but most of it like where I live now, my relationship status....etc etc :D
I wish I could write more but it's late and I have class tomorrow at 0700.
lolz--I like that--I have to say stuff in military time now--0700, w00t! :D And just so you know, the flight attendants here ARE NOT stupid airheads who just smile. My gosh--The training they are putting us all through is INTENSE! My brain is on this overload! I now feel a lot safer in the skies with the flight attendants on United because of this 6 week and four day training we do.
Well everyone, I miss you all! Love you guys!
